Well, I can't tell without seeing the German file.
And if de-DE say "Bundesstaat" there, then you should change it into "Bundesland".
Where/How can I look at the German file?

You have a direct link please? That Transifex website is rather confusing and I couldn't find JEM. I read the instructions for translators and NOW I KNOW why so many texts in software tutorials/documentations are incomprehensible: translators are offered to use Google translation. From the view of a semi-professional translator this is very close to language MCA.

...and I'll be more than happy to create a Swiss-German language.
Would you like me to do that? I can clone de-DE, so all German translations will already be there and you just need to change the 5% for Swiss (or however much it will be )

Just to let you know...: it's a message because we exceed our daily mail limit. The daily limit is 300 mail messages... and every posting in the forum generates a message to the users that subscribed in that forum topic.
If anyone knows a free to use mail system with a higher daily quota, please let me know (must be an smtp service though...)
