I´ve tried to update from 2.1.1 to 2.1.2 and get an error message.
Perhaps i´m doing wrong. I downloaded the new file and tried to install through the extension manager.
But i get an error message.
My joomla installation is 3.3.6
What to do?

Hi Rickard,
could you tell me please what the error message says? (you can remove host names, db table prefixes etc. for privacy, of course)

Hi,
I just wanted to update, too.
The error which is displayed is just: "-1 Copy file failed"
Are there any log files I could check?
Btw, if an admin of this site is reading this: I've just registered and activated this account - please deactivate sending the password with the activation mail. This is a simple setting in Joomla and would let this site appear more professional.

I feared that. But thanks for the responses.
I have no precise idea what's causing this. One thing could be insufficient folder permissions on any of the involved places (not only components/ etc, but also /images, /media, /tmp or whatever Joomla uses internally e.g. to unpack the package). Disk full is another, more theoretically cause.
Another thing could be execution time. Because the package must be extracted and then e.g. the component must be extracted and installed this could be too slow so that the server stops the script with timeout. Don't know if this could result in a "Copy file failed".
You could try to extract com_jem.zip locally from the package and install this file. If that works you need to install all the other mod/plg zips from the package. The disadvantage is that you can't uninstall JEM by simply uninstalling the package - and maybe some problems when updating, not sure.
Sorry for not having a better answer.

I googled around: (@Hoffi: sorry )
This seems to be a problem inside of joomla and not only JEM
so you should search in the joomla forums too. and perhaps contact your provider.
EDIT: Perhaps I found a possibility to find the problem:
