Feature requests for JEM 2.0 - initial public release

User Registration

Hello,
i think it was a nice feature when the user can say i will register to come or i will register to not come. So the Organizer can see which user have seen this event.
I've tested it with my installation and is a simple extension.
A new Column in Database i.e. regtype and a second checkbox.
Greets

Hi Lars,
thanks for your idea. Mainly I'm thinking about JEM as a component to inform the world about events. From this point of view it would be not very helpful to have 6 billions "I will not come" listed. :laugh:
But there maybe sites with more limited user groups where this would be nice and useful. Technically it should be (relatively) easy to implement.
But thinking more in that direction it than would be also nice having an additional comment field so user can tell why he doesn't come. Maybe he is totally interested but it's wrong time.
@team: We should thinking about that...

Hi,
thaks for your response.
Thats right, for a open eventlist that is not really helpful. We use a eventlist in small groups, so that we can see which user will attend and who not.
But the most event extensions have no function for this

Hi Lars,
I'm not really sure what your question exactly is... There is an integration qwith Community Builder, so registered users can show that they will be attending..... Could be built with Jomsocial as well I think.

@ernst67:
@all:
I remember discussions in this forum searching for a possibility to unregister. That means, it should be a switch which decides the registered names are users who visit the event or don't.
If switch is on for don't: I know, all these names will not visit.
e.g. as teacher in a class I expect all 20 scholars. With that possibility I can know, that 5 scholars will be away for the event.
the cb plugin shows to the user and others, for which event the user is registered. But you have to look in each users profile. So it's more to remember the user, for which event he is registeredThere is an integration with Community Builder

@Jojo,
That's interesting. In my EL 1.0.1 setup, the event also shows (at the bottom) which users have registered to the event.
Has that code been lost with EL 1.1?
