in the site/views/.../tmpl there are default.xml and others which are the menue view.
Because their view is in the backend too, you can easily change the yes/no radio buttons to the J3+ style.

There are a lot of radio buttons which user COM_JEM_SHOW and COM_JEM_HIDE. You can replace these labels with
JYES and JNO.
