Back to "Sort by date" not possible?

Am I blind or is not possible to switch back to default sorting ("sort by date") after I clicked "Title" (to sort by title)?

Using the simpellist (responsive) menu view (&view=eventslist) - here there are "Title, Category,..." above the first event.
When you click "Title" to sort by that I see no way to go back to default sorting after date asc.

I am using and testing in Joomla!5.2.3 (without compatibility plugin) with JEM 4.3.2 on php 8.2.27.
I tested in responsive template tablelike style and modern style, but everywhere I have date with arrow up in the header and after clicking on this, it's sorted the future first, I have arrow down in the header. When I then click on this I get arrow up in the header and the list is sorted the past first. So I can't reproduce your issue.
Did you use a template override for simplelist and didn't you refreshed this?
