Categorie doesnt show on event page

Hi everyone,
I wanted to test JEM 4.2.0 on a Joomla 5.01 site so I installed it and no errors were reported.
I created 3 categories and published them. Afterwards I tried to create an event but the categories created are not shown in the event creation form, in fact the block where they should be shown is light gray as if there was nothing to show and therefore the event cannot be saved .

Has anyone encountered the same problem and can give me some advice?

Hi, the greyed categories show me, that your settings are not right! You have not the rights to create events in this category.
What are your settings in JEM>settings>user control>AC events>create events?
If : disabled, only admins:
Are you an admin or are you in a group which is linked with these categories? see group and see category>group
If: All registered users:
Are you logged in as registered user?

Sorry if I wasn't clear but yes, I'm the administrator and i'm logged in as administrator from the backend.
Even if I set event creation => all registered users, nothing changes.
What's strange is that the categories aren't listed at all, not even light grey, pls have a look at the attached image. The first feeling see this is like the link to the db table is missing.

Hi Jojo,


I had an intuition and I found the mystery even if I believe there is a problem behind it. When I created the categories I set a different access level for each category and this does not show them to the admin, to see them I have to set all the access levels of the categories as public and then they are listed in the event creator page.
I don't know the reasoning behind this choice but there shouldn't be any restrictions for the administrator.

sorry, I can't reproduce your problem: as superuser I see all categories, even those with other access levels than public.
