block a user from save event

block a user from save event

I want to prevent a user from saving an event if they do not have enough "credit" there has been an update and my code which was working got wiped (duh) there is an allowsave in controllers/'d hacked but now any code injected causes total failure. I'm a decade out of touch so the php I'm using is fine but not in tune with joomla 4. What I'm asking for is how do you say a specific user is no longer allowed to save (as a jem thing). I considered changing the "created by" to block it on the "edit own events" but tracking that is a bit tortuous. I'm hoping that there is an easy hook on a per user basis that says can save = false.

the (forum) text stripping seems to change my input in a way I don't understand and paste is blocked oddly. I understand its wise to keep keep active code out of a post but copy/paste on the altered text is also blocked so I can't even say that's not what I said. controllers/d hacked bollocks

You can use the code tag [cоde]your code[/cоde]. In the editor you find it under and it will be displayed as
