send email not checked by default?

When I create a new attendee in the backend, I want the checkbox to send an email unchecked by default. Is this possible? do I need an override?

This is a good idea! I have not yet a solution, but I wished this feature very often!

I was able to create an override of /administrator/com_jem/views/attendee/tmpl/default.php and remove the "checked="checked"". But I think there should be an option for this

Meanwhile I was testing and thinking. This idea is not so good.
1) even when you disable the sendemail here, all other changings (to waitinglist/nonattending...) will be sent!
2) the adding as attending can have consequences (e.g.with fees). In normal cases it is not good, that an admin can decide such things without the knowledge of the concerned person! This person must be informed!
3) There can be some special cases, in which this is ok. But it is better, to create your own override for your special case!

ok, I just needed a quick fix for my admins so that they don't have to uncheck the box every time. I also noticed that a mail is sent if an attendee is deleted and I cannot prevent this. but as long there is no option for all this, I will have to stick with my override, or do you have a better idea?
