[SOLVED] JEM Deadlock when saving an event

3 years 8 months ago
#28387
When I edit a JEM event and save it, the system is stuck in a dead-lock - the page doesn´t react anymore.
Most times, the change is indeed saved and can be seen on the website but the administration page of JOOMLA is not responsive anymore.
This happens only in the JEM module and in no other module of the JOOMLA installation.

Environment:
Joomla! 3.9.27 Stable
PHP: 7.4.19
JEM: 2.3.0. (Administrator: 2.3.1)

Any ideas how this can be solved?

Hmm, I do not face that problem with the same configuration on my live system.
(JEM Package 2.3.1, which is site modules 2.3.0, administrator 2.3.1; same Joomla! 3.9.27)

I presume, you cleared all caches as usual.
Did you save from the frontend or from the backend?

Anyone else with that problem?

I presume, you want to say: the administration page is not responding anymore, not responsive!
I can't reproduce your problem.

I'm curious what edit you made..? Just text, or did you upload an image?

@jojo12: yes, sorry. the admin page is not responding after I edit and save a JEM event

@ernst67: It doesn´t matter what I try to change; just text or with an image. The save or save+close action does save the page but the Joomla administration page doesn´t react to any further actions like changing to a different menu.

@Wolfgang: yes, I cleaned the JEM caches but that had no effect either.
I don´t know what you mean with "Did you save from the frontend or from the backend?"
I´m just in the Joomla administrator and select the JEM Event manager and edit an event there. (Sorry, don´t have much experience with Joomla or JEM; just took over a page from someone else.)

Okay, clearly from the backend (administrator).
That is exactly what I do with success.
