[SOLVED] How to prepare an event for eventregistration
3 years 5 months ago - 3 years 5 months ago
Good Morning
I have tried to create a registration possibility for an existing event. I have read through the forum articles found for the keyword "registration" and tried all of the hints and guidances (registered users, events allowed for registration, creating new menu items, giving even full rights to JEM).
But I'm not able to get even the slightest reaction to allow registration to an event.
Even www has no really usable hint (at least I'm not smart enough to ask the right questions).
Is there any usable explanation or guidance to be able to create a registration possibility with JEM? A simple step by step manual for dummies?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards
King Louis

Hi, thanks for using JEM. This is a forum where users try to help other users.
When I am using the new JEM 2.3.1, I go first to the settings>usercontrol>registration in backend and choose yes or optional. The difference is with yes you have the eventregistration in all events. If you need it only in chosen events, optional is better, but then you have to go to edit event in backend or frontend and activate the eventregistration (in frontend it is in the extended tab). The rest should be clear. Login in frontend and go to the event, at the end you will find the eventregistration part.
Don't forget to setup the mailer plugin!

Hi jojo12
That was the point! I didn't look for 'registration' under 'user control' as I thought this tab contains more or less the same as Joomla!s user control (mainly the user settings). However this was the kick i've needed!
Thanks a lot.
Best regards
