Argggggh

I purchased this component some time ago, but hardly ever use it. Partly because I just cannot make it work! It seems to lack an intuitive interface. I have created an event, a venue and a category I have added event date and start and close time. And I have published, but still to no avail! WTF am I doing wrong? Can anyone help?

I guess you're making a mistake when you say you've purchased the component. JEM is free software and there is no charge to use it.

But let me try to help you on your way....
First thing to check is if your venue, category and event all have the state 'published'. If any of them doesn't, the event won't be visible from the front end.

Thank you for your very timely reply, I appreciate that. However, I have checked the published status, all is published but I still cannot get is to show on the users' interface?? Is this perhaps, anything to do with the event dates and start time?

Sorry for the late response. I was travelling for a few days.

Which view are you using in Frontend? Maybe at first just try the Simpleview.
Your events must (off course) be in the future
Also: can you see a list of events in the back end? You should see at least one off course.... If there are non there, there can't be any in the Frontend either.

When selecting the Simple view, make sure you display the category of the event./ Or better: don't make any category selection at all to start with.
