Default venue for new events

Is it possible to set a default venue for new events?

If you have only one venue, then you can perhaps enter in db a default venue.

I think it's a nice idea, worth to think about implementing it.

Hm not sure... I think on very most sites the most frequented venue shouldn't have more than 20 or 30 percent of the events. Or with other words: on 70 to 80 percent the preselected venue must be changed.

But with JEM 2.2.0 you can create a menu item to a venue calendar view. If you activate the option "Show Add Event Icon" there you can create new events from that view, if you like with pre-filled start date too.

Similar trick for users which like to have a category pre-selected - just using category calendar view. :woohoo:

Yes, but a default venue would be optional I guess. So it would help those sites with a single or maybe two or three venues.

A preselected venue would make no difference when a venue has to be selected nonetheless, would it?

Your idea is a good advice, but in helps only in the frontent.

I think it could be nice to have the option. It's really great for sites with only one venue. Big time saver.
