Preview images for the event are missing if they are in a subfolder
Preview images for the event are missing if they are in a subfolder
5 years 5 months ago - 5 years 5 months ago
I migrated from JEM 3 to 2.2.3. However, no preview images are displayed in Backend + Frontend - if the images are in a subfolder of images / JEM / events (for example, / events / 2019). The configuration worked under JEM 3 and I did it the same way.
The path to the image is saved and the images and subfolders exist. When I use them in the text of the event, the pictures are displayed.
If I want to select an image at the event, I will not see any subfolders (no matter if new or existing event).
What have I already tried?
> Pictures are activated in the list layout, size is also in there.
> All modules and plugins are released.
> PHP version is 7.36, a test with older versions of PHP up to 5.2x did not work either.
> Joomla version is 3.9.8 up to 3.9.10
> Template change from frontend and backend.
Here is the link to my project: www.mimuse.de/mimuse/programm
I would be happy if someone could help me.

hi Schmakki,
Maybe i can help: what version of JEM3 did you had and what version do you currently do have? have to say that i've been a while not involved in the project so have to check what's been altered.
In JEM3 there were several additions/changes that are not within JEM2 but that's probably already something you noticed. It can be that were some hardcoded definitions (text within the source-file) and that might be the reason that the files are not correcly loaded in JEM2.
At the moment i'm running JEM3 (custom version, different version then at github) but can take a peak at the source-files.

Hi Bluefox, thanks, JEM3 was great. I had the acually Github-version. The only reason for the change was the missing PHP 7.36 support in JEM3.
I have now installed the latest JEM 2 version several times. Can it be that JEM 2 basically does not support subfolders in pictures?
What can I do to fix this problem? Or do you have a working version of JEM 3 under PHP 7.36?

Just thinking: maybe the files have been written without a event/ category/ or venue/ path in the table and doing so it will have difficulties in JEM2. Can you check how the imagefile is named in the table? Will have some time tomorrow to test a bit.
// am currently running JEM on PHP 7.1.x but will see what it does with PHP 7.3.x

Thanks, the files have been successfull written in the table. The path with the subfolder and the name will be displayed in JEM 2. But the image is not shown. Also I can't see any subfolder of /jem/events.

hmm, did notice that you are also having problems with new events?
Do you maybe have a screenshot outlining the problem?
no matter if new or existing event.
