[SOLVED] No 'Submit New Event' button on frontend

Hello there!

I'm trying to configure JEM to work as I want, and all is going fine except one thing.

Whatever I do, I cannot make 'Submit New Event' button visible on frontend (Calendar View).

As a Registered user I can add event on backend, I can add event thru menu (linked to event adding form), I can see and edit my events and view events from category assigned to me... but there is no that (+) button on Callendar Viev... did someone had similar problem? I tried to find a solution but with no luck...

hello, welcome on this forum, where users try to help other users. Please help us to help you giving more informations about your system and settings.Are you on a clean joomla without other templates plugins?
because some of theme interferes.
Perhaps a link or a printscreen could help too.

You're right - I should give more information from the start. I cannot give You link, because it's only a local installation, but screenshots should be enough.
I've decided (for test), to install clean Joomla 3.8.5 with MySQLi database, and 'Protostar' theme (default).
Only thing I've installed is JEM 2.2.2.
What I want to obtain? (+) icon on frontend callendar - like this: (screenshot from JEM Demo)

What I get is this: (some of it is in Polish, but I think You get the point )

I did all of this as SuperUser, setting all groups, categories and ACL to SuperUser:




I don't think it's an error of JEM - I think I'm missing something, but I really don't know what it is... any help?

hi, thanks for working so much to give information. But... it is much easier!
Better to start with a clean joomla and jem, because you changed so much in acl, you don't need and who could be very dangerous.
after installing go in backend to jem>settings>usercontrol>AC events: there you can give the rights form JEM. what are your settings there?
and for the calendar menu go in the backend to the calendar menu>options and choose add event =yes.

EDIT
perhaps you want to create a group of users with special rights, then go to groups>new add users and add grup rights there.

That did the trick! I had no idea, that those options were there
I know how to configure groups and categories in JEM, so this should be easy from this point.
