Payment for events?
7 years 2 weeks ago
Hi,
I am going to migrate from an old 1.5 Joomla site using Virtuemart and Eventlist. So I plan to use JEM 2.2.2 now.
We would like after migration to give opportunity to users to buy tickets when it will be a paid event.
Is there a solution for JEM?
What would be your advises?
Thanks for your help and suggestions!

Hi, welcome on JEM 2.2.2. But your version on Eventlist must have been a special adaption for virtuemart. Normally JEM is intended for events for groups and organisations with no buying tickets. Perhaps you can integrate this with Breezingforms (Pro). But the counter of attendees inside of JEM will not work with that.
Please look for posts in this forum about Breezingforms

Sorry I haven't been very precise in my previous post:
in fact we didn't use Virtuemart in Eventlist. The ecommerce was selling other products, but no tickets for events.
We now plan to do that after migration.
If I understand well (?) using Breezingforms (Pro) permit to add custom fields. So we could use it for Virtuemart when selling a ticket to collect user infos. But when someone buys someting in Virtuemart, he has to be a subscriber or has to subscribe. Virtuemart manage that by it's own. What would be the interest of using Breezingforms? But perhaps I am missing something...
You are right, we have to link the counter of attendees inside of JEM and the number of items (tickets) in stock in Virtuemart for this kind of events.
If nobody did buying tickets in JEM before, I have to hack code...
