Unfinished events ....or current events?

Hello all,
could someone please confirm if I have understood the term Unfinished events incorrectly, as I have a list of both current and yet to start event appearing in the JEM Module-Banner configured as "Unfinished events"... and the same yet to start events appearing correctly in another identical module - bar the setting set to Upcoming events".
I had, maybe mistakenly assumed that "Unfinished" meant started but not yet finished. It appears it means started , or yet to start - and not yet finished.

Have I missed something (or done something mind numbingly stupid (which would not be a first, I can assume you!)), or is there a way to get a module to only display events which are currently ongoing; ie. not shown until they start and are no longer displayed once they have finished.

I tried on my version Joomla 3.8.2 php 7.1.11 and JEM 2.2.2:
"Unfinished events" shows running events and coming events, meanwhile
"Upcoming events" shows only events which did not start yet.
As much as I know there is no such possibility you are looking for. You have to try to adapt yourself.
Because this could be interesting for others too, you are pleased to share here, when you found a possibility!
