Waitlist - good feature, but could be better ;)

Waitlist - good feature, but could be better ;)

Hi,
I really love this plugin - it has almost everything I need. The last piece to perfection is the usable waitlist.

It is great, user can book on an fully booked event - he is put on waiting list. But... This user will not see, how many other user already is in this waiting list - he can only see, that he is on the list in the event listing.
Can I ask for the option to show this waiting list under the list of registered users?

Second, but far more complex issue is with the functionality of the waitlist...
What happens, when someone cancel reservation. - Will be the previously registered user (first in the waiting list) automaticaly notified, that there he is now attending the event? I tried remove someone and nothing happend. All I achieve, that there is one free slot to register - so someone new may come and take this slot... I think, that this is wrong - if someone registered earlier is not taking this free slot and it could be taken by someone coming later...
- I see 2 posible solutions - automaticaly change status of the first user in the waiting list or any new registration,as Attending when there is a user/users on waiting list - so every new registration will be on waiting list and it will be on event organiser to manage this waiting registration...

Thank you for this component and hope you made it perfect! At least the waiting list shown in listing will be great!

hi, welcomecon this forum where users try to help other users
@1 there are posts in this forum how you can add waitinglist and non attending... add on the list in frontend, on a template override. Not all users want this.
@2 we let the administrator decide which one comes from the waitinglist to the attendinglist. there may be reasons to prefer a person. if this persons comes to the attendinglist she will be informes via email

Thank you for quick response, my bad - should read first... @1 is solved for me, but have some issue with simple list view after setting Responsive JEM (I asked in that topic).

@2 - I know, that the organiser should choose, but still if someone cancel his reservation on fully booked event - his place is free for anyone - it should stay closed and the organiser should choose who will take this place. Every new participant, registering just after this 1 user cancelled should be put on waiting list - if you want to be fair with the previously registered users...

sorry, I tried to reproduce your issue:
I am working on Joomla! 3.8.2 on php 7.1.8 and JEM 2.2.2+template overrides with responsive JEM
My settings were waitinglist yes eventregistration yes, eventannullation yes max. places=1
4 persons choosed attending, one is attending, the others are put in the order of attending in the waitinglist.
When the attending person annullates his participation, the first on the list is automaticly on the attending list and he gets an email to be informed for this. (I did test it with 4 users)
This works in my case. Where's your problem?

I see the problem now - it works as you described - the problem with free slot is, when you (as admin) - delete a user - then it does not work, but this is ok, because if admin delete someone, he can then choose another one from the waiting list.

I think, that this is how it works in every cases, but now I can tell, that this plugin is really perfect! I am gooing to make some final polishing and if my colleagues appreciate it, I will demand donation to this project! ;)
