I can' t reprodice your problem, and I dont get the answers to my question

I use the default settings JEM for import CSV. I followed your instruction exactly, even the order. Results are the same as mentioned earlier. I described my step for export and import before.

I think I found your problem. If you are using the default setting
Replace if ID exists (else create new).:=NO
you get such problem.

For importing a whole set of events, categories, venues and catevents into a clean(ed) JEM you need to choose
Replace if ID exists (else create new).:=YES
(Perhaps you have to use the rebuild button in categories view too, if root is not yes existing.)

The default way is to import new events or categories or venues isaynto JEM with an existing table.
Importing from an old JEM or EVENTLIST you make normally only once, so that's not the default.

But perhaps we have to find a clearer explanation for this button.
EDIT:
if you import to a new joomla: there is indeed a problem with the ID of the event creator, because these IDs can be different!
