Information about google map

Backend->Components->JEM->Settings->Global Parameters->Global Parameters(Left menu)->Google Api Key

Be aware there are two buttony for map : one in eventview and an other button for map in venueview. (Global parameters (right menu)

JEM's Google map settings are a little bit tricky, so, pls. Follow this procedures carefully, and you should be able to get the google map:

@hhtmp88: sorry, but with the normal JEM the settings for google map are others, than you describe on the named page.
With google api-key I have to set always api-key, for to get google maps. that's for general.
For the individual map, I go to the indidivual venue (frontend or backend) input the address, that can also be a coordinate, then I choose add a map link. Then inside of the new window I choose take from JEM, then I get the map with the arrow, I can correct the arrow with the mouse and choose then (bring the corrected address to JEM (to the left). If I choose "only coordinates" the address persists only the arrow coordinates are corrected.
I don't know, if in your region google map works otherwise, in the rest of the world it should work like described.
I think our experimented devs have to decide, if they want the link to your explanation.

in JEM settings I find map choice "Open Google map" and "Open Google map (API key)" which suggests that API is not necessarily needed, and which worked fine until today. Now the popup remains blank. Since I upgraded JEM from 2.1 to 2.2 AND changed Joomla server settings to force https (ssl), I am not sure which of these changes made google map vanish.
