Information about google map

I searched for files with a text string "google" in the following directories:
administrator/components/com_jem
components/com_jem
media/com_jem/js

and replaced http:// by https:// if the link was related to whatsoever.google.

This made my day – until next JEM update, when those changes in JEM core files will be set back.
To prevent this I hope, the devs will notice that problem and make all these changes, too, before the next release.

My setting there = "Link to map", TLD = com, Lang = de

That's why you cannot get google map displayed
-> you have not gone to the right page and select the right option
-> the right option you should select is "Display Google Map" as described in my previous link

then you will have to correct your data in your link. After doing what I described in my previous post, everything works fine again.

Also with that link option, which opens the map only if the visitor wants to see it and saves some loading time for those whon don't need a map.

Btw it's not logic that out of three options offered only one works - why then offering the two others?

I still run in some empty maps on frontend and found that in

components/com_jem/classes/output.class.php
lines 787, 795, 822

components/com_jem/views/editvenue/view.html.php
lines 156, 162

some http:// survived. After replacing those with https:// the maps show again

yes they survived. But very soon after the release we did find this and because of developers absence we decided to release they changed files under the same number. So you are one of the few first downloaders! Congratulations!
