Colour code future events in simple list

Is ist possible to have a specific background colour for future events in simple list.
And once the events are completed the background colour changes to default.

Have had a look through all the settings, but was not successful.

I don't know, but I want to say: the normal way is to archive the completed events! And the users can find it with one click in archived events.
