Disable front-end editing?
6 years 3 months ago
Hi,
I'd like to keep only the back-end edititing for all my Joomla site.
So, is there a way to disable the JEM front-end editing for all (admins + ...) ?
Or at least to make it disappear with a display: none or other trick ?
Thanks for your help
Paul

Thank you
As far as I know, there's no option for front-end editing in right permission,
but only for editing (means Front + Back-ends)

If you have no groups and you set only admins only the admin can insert events.

Yes it's exactly the case.
But in my opinion, I'd prefer that logged admins don't get front end inerface "polluted" by edition pictos.
It's possible that I am loosing interesting behaviours, but for now I prefer Frontend and Backend separated in usage. Frontend to see, Backend to manage.

Then you can try to hide the display of the icons or in the css or in the default.php of the views (only in an template override.
(Me personally, I like in JEM exactly this, that only me has access to the backend part. But others can add events from frontend.
