[RESOLVED] How "Edit Own Events" can function properly

[RESOLVED] How "Edit Own Events" can function properly

If you look at the attached, you will see JEM asks "Edit All Events" which I have set to Disabled, Admins Only. There is also a toggle on "Edit Own Events" which I have set to Yes.

I do not want contributors editing/altering other people's events.

How do I make this work properly?

Hi, welcome on this forum where users try to help users. Please help us too, giving enough information about your problems and settings. Also for proposing new features, if you find a possibility sharing solutions.
In this case, what are your joomla acl settings? And Jem groups?

EDIT:
I tested on my own site Joomla 3.5.1! and JEM 2.1.6 with the same settings and a user which is registered user and is not in a JEM group. This user added a new event in a category which is not reserved for special JEM groups. After saving the admin got an email "there's a new event which must be published". The admin published.
After the test user tried to edit event, but it was not possible. This is like it should be.
So can't reproduce your problem!

I have only enabled Venue Addition and Event Addition for "Calendar Partners" (an access group/level I created) by creating a special menu with those links that is only visible for organizations with this access level.

We have turned this software into a "Volunteer Events Registration" system for my United Way. I want to allow other agencies to use this calendar to post their volunteer opportunities, and connect with volunteers that want to help.

did you try with a user who isn't in the group, who is only registered. There it should work like you wish.
Members of the group are like admins and can edit all events. (I think)

Hi Jojo,

We're not using "Groups". We created an ACL called "Calendar Partner", then placed "Venue Submission" and "Event Submission" as a menu made only available to users of that access level.

Much like the "My Attendance" shows registered users only the events that they are registered for; or "My Events" shows only calendar entries made by that user - I want only that user that created the event to be able to edit it. This will create other Calendar Partners from having the ability to modify someone else's event.

Hope this helps clarify my request.
