when uploading attachments it can happen that you see a blank screen after pressing the save button.
The problem here is is that the file is to big
when looking in the logs you'll see a notice about "POST Content-Length", a solution can be to downsize the uploaded file.
i know it would be better to implement a check before the save and at upload so if anyone is up to it... you're welcome to alter it. it can even be that the attachment uploader should be replaced by Blueimp or something like that.

swfupload mentioned in the tutorial of joomla shouldn't be used as it's outdated. Plupload would also be an option.
