Minimum requirements

Minimum requirements

When I was digging through Joomla API documentation, a big question came up to my mind:

What should be the minimum required Joomla version for JEM? 2.5? 1.6?
My vote is 2.5 ... :)

This is important to know when cleaning up code ;)

my vote would be 2.5, better 2.5.9

As JViewLegacy, JModelLegacy are supported from Joomla 2.5.6, or something around that, Joomla version 1.6 will run into a problem.

Right, we should rather take a look forward to J3.0 instead of looking back to dark times of J1.x ;)

So the legacy classes are a good point. I think it was 2.5.6

Yes, we have to concentrate to J2.5. It should be normal, that people use the normal and security updates, so they should be on 2.5.9.
And then a look forward to J3.0, which will be stable tomorrow!
