Custom fields in JEM

Hi all,

At the risk of being an idiot : what is the use of custom fields?
Seems that there aren't working as tags, or don't appear as sorting criteria in search engine, etc.

Someone to enlighten a poor man?

@Leo the custom fields are not like tags or customfields (joomla4).. Its just a matter of showing more information in the detailview of the specific event.

Within Joomla 4 Joomla did add a way to create custom fields (+different field types) so that's probably something we might take a look at. The tags function is also something that should/can be added. Not sure when or if it's going to be added to the JEM 2.x version.
