Custom fields in "Category"

There is the excellent idea of offering custom fields in JEM events and JEM venues – unfortunately not in JEM categories. That raised my humble question: Why not?

I need them and my cry for help to make me make them, has been unanswered yet. So I repeat this topic here under "feature request" in hope for more response.

I am not sure if there was an active decision against it or just no time for example. I think Hoffi can shed some light on this topic. Unfortunately he annouced that he will not be very active here the next days, so I fear you have to patient and wait for the answer.
