Feature requests for JEM 2.0 - initial public release
Feature Request: Custom Fields and Search
Feature Request: Custom Fields and Search

I realize we, as users, can hack the code to do the following, but I'd prefer it in the released code as I think many could use it and it would prevent upgrades from breaking. Really appreciate your volunteer efforts!
On the back end, I would like to see where the Admin can define names for the 10 custom fields. They would then display after the Description for the Venue, in bold type prior to the actual content of those fields.
Also, in a config for the Search component, be able to include one or more of the 10 custom fields, including presentation via the names applied above. Also, the ability to suppress including the Continent on the Search component.
Thank you for your consideration! svmr.pennsyrr.com

About renaming custom fields:
You can find this in the help:
you can find near the same for VENUE_CUSTOM_FIELDS
You can find this in the help:
Custom Fields
You can enter up to 10 custom fields here. Here you can enter a maximum of 10 custom fields for an event.
Empty fields are not displayed in the frontend. You can give the fields specific names using language overrides.
If you want to do that, proceed as follows:
Go to Extensions → Languages → Overrides. Choose 'Administrator' in the select-box on the right hand sode of the screen.
The key for the event custom fields are COM_JEM_EVENT_CUSTOM_FIELD1 to COM_JEM_EVENT_CUSTOM_FIELD10.
If you want to use the language string for both backend and frontend, then don't forget to click the 'for both locations' checkbox.

Thanks, jojo12.
Would the Language Overrides survive a JEM update?
What about getting these fields into the Search component?

Never mind, I found it. The default filter was Sites, which doesn't offer it. Change the filter to Admin, and the check box is there!
