Adding a feature ?

Hello,

First of all I want to thank you for keeping Eventlist alive

I want to know if it’s easy for you to include a small feature that I added in eventlist. This way, I will not have to edit a lot of codes each time you will do an update...

The feature is the STAR SYSTEM (Give by the admin in backend, not the users in frontend)…. I just want to be able to give a rating value to any event.

If you can add this feature in JEM, will be so much appreciated.

have to say that i do understand the request but think it's to specific.

That said, maybe a good solution for you can be to make use of overrides.
doing so it won't be overrided by an update of JEM at least not in the front, but now i'm wondering what happens in the backend.

maybe it helps if you share some of the code so the community has an idea of how it works and if there is a way to add it.

Maybe by giving the opportunities to add custom fields ? I saw you added a column for image, if we can add custom fields will do the job ! For the code, I did it like 3 years ago and I remember it was a lot of code and changes. I not only had to add code but add things in database too

Sorry I only red your last post, and there you were tslking only about custom fields
At the moment Bluefox is working on a other project. And I fear your feature request is too special, so it's up to you.

would say it's to specific to include in the general release and think it's to much to create a way to add addon-ons to the table view. a lot easier would be to create overrides and add the code.

as Jojo mentioned i'm currently busy with another project (JoomLeague) so don't have much time available to test things out but maybe someone else can assist if needed.
