Event Organizer

We do have a way to link contacts to the event but would it be something to link a organizer?

Am thinking of:
- add organizer(s) view in backend
in there we can add the info of the organizer
- add organizers table
in there we store the organizer info
- add form field to select organizer within event-view

in the front we can modify the model/event-view to show the organizer info.

erm... that's exact where com_contact is for.

There you can specify ANY contact with a lot of information about. It's not limited to site members.
Also you can organise contacts in different categories incl. different access rights, if you like.
The only thing required is a way to create a contact on frontend, but thing com_contact should allow this.

ah well did add it in my personal version as i did find it a bit easier to handle things.
but you're right com_contact is also something that can be used.
