Feature requests for JEM 2.0 - initial public release
Extension for mod_jem_wide
Extension for mod_jem_wide
10 years 2 weeks ago
Hi there,
I am a happy user of the eventlist plugin. I made few changes to it to meet my needs. Now I started to prepare migration of my site to Joomla 3 and installed the 2.0.3 version of JEM which works fine for me. Only thing is that I am missing my changes of course
I modified the "mod_jem_wide" accordingly, please find it attached. The changes are:
- Feature to limit output of events to those in the next X hours
- Tweaked "title cut" so that it can be disabled (by setting length to 0)
- Introduced new text for "since yesterday"
- Original functionality remains as is (at least it was the intention)
Kindly have a look into it. Would be really great if these changes will make their way into one of the next releases!

Important to know: installing this module will replace the old mod_wide.

did take a peak at it...
the option of the title maxlength sounds fine, when peple fill in a 0 the title won't be adjusted.Tweaked "title cut" so that it can be disabled (by setting length to 0)
the option of "Feature to limit output of events to those in the next X hours" is also understandable but think it's needs to be added to type3 too (today). for the archived events it doesn't make sense so that would be ok.Feature to limit output of events to those in the next X hours
that's something i'm wondering how it should be looking and how it works.Introduced new text for "since yesterday"

Hi Bluefox,
many thanks for your review. The last point is used in case you have one event that lasts longer than one day and is currently active.
Example:
An event starts at 1st and ends at 3rd. Today is 2nd, so the text is used to indicate, that the event is running "since yesterday". If I remember correctly, the original modules displayed "since 1 days" whereby you cannot control "day" and "days" as only one string is available for all. That's why I introduced "since yesterday" for the "day two"...
