I don't see that this is possible - am I missing something? If not, can I put in for a "wishlist" for this please.

Erm, I'm a bit confused: We are on EL 1.0.2 - is there a wishlist?
Also I don't know if it is possible to create a Joomla! category on frontend. If so, we should support this too (in JEM). If not, ... depends on how much better we would like to be.
But of course a valid idea for every day.

Until now I thought, it's ok to create that only in the administration. I don't trust all my friends
With joomla ACL it should be possible to give limited access to administration, if it's needed that someone have to create categories himself.
EDIT: But is this thread for EL1.0.2 or JEM? If for JEM, I will move it.

Hey JoJo
My fault - it really should be for JEM yes - put it in the wrong category.
I have a client who will be doing all his own event entry and I want him to have frontend category creation - he doesn't want, nor do I, him poking round in admin!
