copy event to multpl categorys, show event+select cat in list
copy event to multpl categorys, show event+select cat in list

This one is a bit hard to explain but what i mean is the following.
At the moment we do have the option to create an event, select multiple category's and the event is then linked to multiple category's. these category's are shown in the lists.
But what i'd like to see is a function where you can select multiple category's, the event is duplicated and the selected category is been added to that event (row). When viewing the list you'll only see that event+category as a row. so yes you can have some events in the list that are the same with the difference that there is a different category. but it can have some advantages too.

You mean you would like to have a shorter way for the sequence
- in backend JEM - Events click "New", type in data, select one category, click "Save"
- select another category, click "Save as Copy"
- repeat previous step for all categories you need
isn't it?
Not sure if it is a good idea to make creation of redundant data so easy.
If it describes the same event there should be only one entry in list. Otherwise I fear we will get a lot support calls "edit event doesn't work!" because changing one event doesn't change all it's copies.

as it's a copy function, by using a radio/list box stating "just copy" or somethign like that it should be clear that the event will be just copied to those category's. Editing an event will not automaticly change all those created events but think it should be clear enough.Otherwise I fear we will get a lot support calls "edit event doesn't work!" because changing one event doesn't change all it's copies

Ok, another question:
Let's say the event is to your Birthday party. :woohoo:
But unfortunately you have only 12 plates.
How do you ensure to have a total maximum of 12 attendees?

uhmm, just to invite them personally so you know what to expect.
don't think such an event would be added, but of course you can set the event + select the max of attendees and just select the birthday category. It's no use to create duplicate events.
was thinking to have the radio box under the category's list.

Personally I don't like that feature.
Makes things more complicated and I don't see the benefit. Why should it be cloned? My experience tells me: each copy multiplies the amount of possible problems. So sorry for my non-enthusiasm.
