here some of my proposals

• Responsive views without tables
• Flexible menu element allowing to filter category, venue, city, state and day.(ex. music events from New York today, cinema events in Texas)
• An general option to include social newwork sharing/like in events or venues.
• New event fields

tickets - to capture ticket price (ex. free / invitation / not confirmed / 5€ / from 10€ to 20€ /
hightlight - to hightlight in the list
category2, category3 - multicategory events
times2, times3 - multisession events

You are certainly right that the design in terms of code and visual appearance is not yet perfect. But as it "works" for now, we are concentraiting on other things. But it is on the list.

Nice idea. Worth to spend some thinking on it

An general option to include social newwork sharing/like in events or venues.

There are some privacy issues here. Some people don't like e.g. facebook integration, so we leave this for now. But there are already plugins you can use, one is joomla-extensions.kubik-rubik.de/de/2csb-2-click-social-buttons .

New event fields

Most of it can be realized with the custom fields I think. Highlighting might be an option to add. Multiple categories can already be assigned.
