Feature requests

So these are my little suggestions...
Do not stray too far from design. Old school eventlist people should see it and it should be obvious to them that it is a fork of Eventlist.
Retain same SEO URL for menu items. So someone can upgrade from Eventlist to JEM and not have to worry that links to their site are now all broken.
Do not limit yourself just because you think it should not happen. Example:
Venues: Why is there no copy? Why cannot there be two venues with the same name? I have many examples of venues that would have the same name (Just different addresses) (BTW There technically is no reason for this limitation)
In admin:
Events listing: Why just show City? Where you could easily show City,State (again with the venues with same name or simular names.
Archive: Why is archive a seperate button to see them? Why not a pull down to select state like in Articles? JEM is a component of Joomla and should basically function almost identical when it comes to layout/design (In the admin section)
When designing something do not think how you might use it. Think of the little site and big site and try to accomoidate both without causing too much extra workload. Another fork of EL decided to think small and now seems unusable to me.
These are just a few of the things with EL that bug me over the years that I have had to hack or just deal with.

One thing I have been looking for in an Event manager is the "multiple category" option for the same event.
I have been using Eventlist for years.... even thought about customizing it myself for this, but turns out I am not that smart!

This is why it is important to say what version of Joomla you are running and what version of EL you are running when asking for support.
Multiple categories was only introducced in EL1.11b for J15. So if you are running any other version than that multiple categories are not a feature.
Now the same holds true to those giving support, they should not assume you are running an old beta version.
