As some of you noticed: 3.0.7 has been released (for testing purposes).

Do make a backup so you can always revert back if needed.
If you did make custom adjustments, then don't forget to back them up too.
Try things out offline if you can so you know what to expect.

To note: the category field in the front has been adjusted and doing so it can be that it's looking a little bit different then expected.

when using the option ACL "registered", all registered will have access to the submit event form but won't see a category until the user was added to a jem-group, and that group assigned to a category. You can leave that option to "only admins" but when you have an user attached to category by using JEM-Groups and he has add rights then he/she will have access to that form. Things should be modified more but as mentioned the permission thing will be (for me) something for later or someone else has to address before that time.

Package: over here
Changelog: over here
Language files can be found at Transifex :

Intention for 3.0.8 will be (for me):
- adjustment of attachment upload views.
At the moment uploading big files will lead to unexpected problems but by using Blueimp or some other uploader we can check things much better.
- changing mailer plugin
- applying some feature requests related to modules
- code cleanup
- adding imageselect view to the front so users other then admin can select image
- tweaking storage of image thumb filename
do like to add the actual width + height to the filename and some options in the backend where people can. select a max width/height for the image in event -/ tableview
- and some other things

something else i was thinking of was to change from multi-cat to single-cat to finally get rid of the annoying routing/access problems but it's going to be way to much (for me) to apply it all in the next version so that will be for a version after that. maybe the CategoryRoute can be adjusted a bit but will see.

note: if you wan the categories field in editevent back as it was then you can copy the attached file to "components/com_jem/models/fields/"

another note:
will add the assets/rules part for the categories and add the part for checking access rights for adding, this way it's possible to define rights for Joomla groups.

checking Edit rights is way to complex with multi-cat (1 event, multiple category's) so won't modify that. It will also mean that 3.0.8 will be a bit earlier then expected (probably next weekend) and the planned changes for 3.0.8 will be for a later version.

probably next weekend
can say that 3.0.8 will be there next weekend.

it will include some minor changes:
- the category access part will be changed a bit more
did add assets/rules for category's and doing so it's possible to define rights to Joomla groups, maybe it needs to be modified more and if so you're welcome to give feedback.
- Editevent+registering: it will include an option to select an enddate, this way it's possible that you as creator can select and enddate for the registering part.
- editevent+redirecting: will try to modify the redirecting part so it will check if the user can view the event and if not it will redirect to some other view.

hi Jojo..

the intention was there but won't make it in time.
Also won't make an estimate of a new date so you'll have to wait till it's being dropped somewhere in the future.
