FRENCH TRANSLATION (J522/JEM431)-PROBLEM

FRENCH TRANSLATION (J522/JEM431)-PROBLEM

Hi,

We have searched without result the files and strings to translate the elements remaining in English in the filter and simplelist)- : "Month", "YYYY-MM" and name of month ("December"...), as shown in attached screenshot.

Can anyone point out where they are?

Many thanks in advance!
Henri

ça devrait être:

pour le frontend:

COM_JEM_SEARCH_YYYY-MM

COM_JEM_SEARCH_MONTH

COM_JEM_JANUARY….etc.

tu peux trouver les clés avec la configuration : debug language=oui

Merci beaucoup pour ton engagement!

I just checked the French langage files:
the concerning lines are not yet translated and outcommented:
Code:
; COM_JEM_SEARCH_YYYY-MM="YYYY-MM" ; COM_JEM_SEARCH_YYYY-MM_FORMAT="The date format must be YYYY-MM!"
and
Code:
; COM_JEM_JANUARY="January" ; COM_JEM_FEBRUARY="February" ; COM_JEM_MARCH="March" ; COM_JEM_APRIL="April" ; COM_JEM_MAY="May" ; COM_JEM_JUNE="June" ; COM_JEM_JULY="July" ; COM_JEM_AUGUST="August" ; COM_JEM_SEPTEMBER="September" ; COM_JEM_OCTOBER="October" ; COM_JEM_NOVEMBER="November" ; COM_JEM_DECEMBER="December"
You can add them to the language override files or in the original language files remove the semicolon in the beginning of the line and replace English  with the French translation.

Hello,

Many thanks @ Jojo and @Hekla!
That's done with overrides.

I connected to Transifex but was afraid of making a mistake... Is there a step by step documentation to do?

It seems to me that it was easier 5 years ago (but I'm 5 years more old... , perhaps for that...).

I would be happy to translate whatever I can, but I don't want to make any mistakes!

@Jojo : c'est moi qui vous remercie tous ! Aussi pour la convivialité !

Henri

Bonjour Henri,
Pour moi, il est trop difficile de répondre en français. Je suis un simple Néerlandais ;-)
Je vais donc continuer en anglais....

I noticed at Transifex you asked for a French translation of JEM. But there already is a French translation. So, what you need to do is request to join the French translation team. But...: I think you actualy already are in that team. (Leo Rius)

When you head over to JEM Project -> JEM4 -> Languages -> French -> and hit the "Translate" buttom on the top right, that should take you to the online editor. On the left you pick the language file and then you enter / edit the translations.

With this method the transifex-hosted languages are up to date and on the next download and creation of the installable language pack (my task) your translation is available to every JEM user..
