How to change number of events listed on the landing page

Thanks Hekla, that was exactly what I wanted! 

Only to add:
This depends on how you work with past events.
If you delete or archive past events, then it's good.
If you do nothing with past events (for calendar reasons), then it can be that a lot of past events are at top of the page and you have to search for upcoming events.
