JEM teaser module

JEM teaser module

The JEM-Teaser-Module on my localhost behaves as it should: changing the number of events in the backend really makes JEM display the indicated number of events.

On an other server, changing the number of events in the backend, does .... NOTHING. JEM always displays 20 events, no matter what number I enter.

Does anybody have an explanation for that behaviour??

Greetings
Martin

Hi Martin,

Could you confirm versions of JEM and Joomla! you are using on both servers?
There a logic to fall back to display limit set in general JEM settings, if limit is not found in particular request. You can test this by changing "Number of Events on the Frontend views" on global settings tab.
Sounds like your module limit is being ignored and JEM falls back on global setting on your other server.

Hi depebo,
on both servers its Joomla 3.9.5 and JEM 2.2.3 as the server with the misbehaviour is an Akeeba-Copy of the well-doing.

More information: the field in the corresponding SQL-DB-table has the correct number; even changing it does not change the number of events on the page.

How can that be? A DB-entry is overruled? And by what?

Not sure why.
Can you confirm your instance definitely falls back to general setting by changing "Number of Events on the Frontend views" on JEM >> Settings >> Global tab.

To correct: Joomla Version has been updated from 3.9.4 (1. server) to 3.9.5 (2. server). MIght that really be the problem??
