[SOLVED] Unable to activate MAPS

Hello

I get an error when trying to activate Geodata (Please see attached file)
I checked the embedded google maps plugin and entered a API key..

What did I miss?

Hi, I don't know, how you got the API key.
I had the same problem on a site which has different addresses. One address was ok just before. Then I had to activate the other address too. And now no problem.

I got the key on the google dev pages.
I have a backup of the official site "dtfengig.lu" running on a synology box "laurentzotto@familyds.org/joomla". It's an eact copy retrieved by akeeba backup
I realized that on the developer site the module is working and I can add Geodata here, but not on the official site.
I have opened a ticket at the hosting site, perhaps it's an issue on their side!

Let's see what they say!

It's a google API setting.
Since June 2016 new sites must use an API key. My development site was online before, therefor I don't need the key here.

I created the key and entered it in the embedded Maps plugin. It turned out that this has no effect on JEM.
In order to make this work, we must include the API key in the JEM settings under global parameters.
Once the key is copied here, it works...

Thank you for that comment. This illustrates exactly what I had to do.
Don't forget to paste the key in the "Content - Embed Google Map" plugin too if you need Maps in other parts of the webpage.

Or, can I simply add a venue I created with JEM to a page withoput an Event????
