Did test it out JEM2.x and am indeed seeing the problem.
It happens as the event wasn't modified so there is no value for modified.
The message that we get is also a bit misleading as the content of the event didn't change but we did change state so it would be good to add a check in the plugin and maybe define a new language-string for it. Ah well its for the dev to sort out
