If you already have the problem:
Please delete all files of com_jem and mod_jem_... in you <joomlaRoot>/templates/rt_ambrosia/html.
After that, please download the JEM_Responsive 1.5.1 completely new and it should work, I hope^^

Hi,
I just tried template override to show all the attending users in event listing. I made it work with the icon. But the simple list view of all events is now "too simple" - see image
It is made from menu item - JEM simple list of all events - before it showed table with pictures. Now it is just text with awesomeicons - what could be wrong? I followed all the instruction from this topic and the topic about the override:
www.joomlaeventmanager.net/forum/general-help-and-tutorials/10146-howto-show-persons-on-the-waiting-list,-in-event-view
Hope you will know, where is the problem... (template - ALLROUNDER-j1.6 - Default)

Hi,
Not sure, if this will help, but as a former long-time user of the ALLROUNDER template I suggest to have a look at {LESS} Allrounder . (Some basic knowledge of German would help with the good forum and the documentation.)
This fork is much more responsive and I am using it now since more than two years.
I did not detect problems in conjunction with Responsive JEM.

Update:
I just did not properly tested it - it is still the same - the table is gone, after I put there Responsive JEM into the template folder. Without it, it looks great, with the R JEM it is the same as before.
I tried another template and it works, so now I have this template (beez5) set as template for JEM pages and the rest of the site is on allrounder. It is not big problem, the JEM is for our club use only, so it is ok, but will be better with the same template...

Please try on an official joomla template like protostar. If there it works fine (in my case yes), then the problem is your template which interferes with the official joomla. You need to search for help there (at least too!) Then there can probably be interferences with other joomla! which you not did encounter yet.
