Joomla 2.5 -> 3.3: Which JEM/Eventlist version should I use?

Hi There,
I am using Eventlist 1.0.2 stable with Joomla 2.5.x and want to migrate to Joomla 3.3.x.

Should I move to JEM?
Is there any migration script or tool for this?
Which version of JEM supports Joomla 3.3.x?
If none, when will one be available?
If none, do you know any similar free or paid extension to Eventlist that I could use?

Kind regards and thank you very much for your time!

Hi Eike,

for Joomla 3.x you will need JEM 3.x. Currently there is no stable version available but it is in intensive development. I can't say when it is ready but because Joomla 2.5 support ends end of this year our plan is to have JEM 3 released before that point.
JEM is able to import data from EventList directly so you will not need any additional tool. But of course you need to configure JEM and possibly restructure your data because JEM provides more features. B)

just a little note from me..

Should I move to JEM?
that's something only you can decide. But can say that there is no new version with the name "Eventlist" this as the original dev of that one is MIA.

Is there any migration script or tool for this?
within JEM there is an import view and in there is a tab where you can try to import the events.

Which version of JEM supports Joomla 3.3.x?
Basicly JEM 3.x wich is downloadle over here . Keep in mind that it are no public releases and you won't get support from me till it's released for the general public.

If none, do you know any similar free or paid extension to Eventlist that I could use?
I know you said in case of none but to respond: there are some scripts around but not sure if they have an EL import function but if so it can be that you have to pay for it or the script to use the function that we're already offering for free.

Wait...

just to say: it would be more helpfull if you should point out some arguments why it's not ready or what should be addressed.
