detail --> event (What was the reason?)

I have been perplexed for a while..

Why was details renamed to event ?

Because it makes more sense

Detail does not tell what the view is about, in contrast to event. Furthermore it is consistent to venue and category.

So there is no need to be perplexed

My perplexity comes from knowing that SEF is not a priority for the dev team.

And while this makes sense it also affects SEF and changing SEF is not necessarily a good idea.

Shrug.. jumping the gun.. I know #48 fix is coming and that WILL affect SEF

As JEM is still in an development/testing-fase there are also things to learn..

Maybe i'm saying things wrong, if so just correct me. But I guess you have a point that a lot of people will have pages index by using the detail page..

And about the SEF priority: You're right that it's an important issue, but for me it has no priority as I'm not sure how to handle/adjust it.

We have it on the list. Some things are easier to fix than others, so that may be also a point why it is not yet fixed. Please also note that we are a small dev team, and we also have a real life.

But about the SEF: Up to now JEM is still in beta phase and things are about to change, that includes links, too. And if we can not change them now, when should we do it instead. With JEM, all links change in comparison to Eventlist anyway. SEF is important, but it does not stand above everything else.
