Feature requests for JEM 2.0 - initial public release
[FR]Calendar View: Is there a way to add events from it?
[FR]Calendar View: Is there a way to add events from it?

I'm new to JEM so basically trying to compare it against JEvents (for example). I'm looking at the Month view (see
lcbb.mccabe.org.uk/index.php/jem-calendar
- which has a few little custom css elements and a template override to remove the end time of the event entry and the
before the event title). I was hoping that certain registered users might be able to create new events from that calendar in the way you can do wit JEvents. Is that possible at the moment or do I need to add that as a feature request?
Thanks

Hi John,
welcome on our forum.
At the moment creating events directly from calendar view isn't possible. But you're not allone, I had the same idea - but not the time to implement this until now. But now I have an additional motivation.
@team: I thought about a little plus icon on right side of day field which opens editevent view with day preset. This allows to use the calendar view for planning events.

Thanks for that Hoffi. What you're suggesting sounds just like what I'd hoped for (similar to the JEvents one I think
I'm probably going to take a look at some of the JEM code and see if there's anything I can help with. I don't know much about developing Joomla extensions (yet) but there are a few little annoyances I've found so far; a couple of places (e.g. the month navigation on the calendar view) where the style is applied directly to the tag so it can't be overridden etc.
All the best
John

I'm in favour! But I would strongly recommend to make this an option (=setting).

And of course user needs to have proper permissions.
