feature: Content plugin needed

Hi,
[I know a lot of you don't work with cb] but perhaps for other contents too,
it needs a content plugin which inserts an event in an article (content)

CB has groupjive events for groups and it's open for plugins.
I want to bring nearer group events and JEM events. And I think, it's the best to have a content plugin.

www.joomess.de had once a kind of content plugin for eventlist in joomla 1.5 but it's discontinued.

what do you think?

this is the free version with the link to his website. The paid version was without link.

it had a lot of possibilities with/without countdown etc.

I had good contact with him and I wrote three months ago to ask for collaborate for jem. But he seems very busy (it's written until mid july no help, but it's mid august.

good news from johannes messmer from joomess.de:
he has not the time to continue with eventlistcontentplugin and he would like to give the development of it to the developers of JEM. He would put a link on his site (when there's a functioning version.) He would like to have a reference in the plugins, that he started with it.
what does the plugin:
-> in a content you can directly link to an event (not via a menu point)
optional it has some visible countdown effects.

It's good news and good to know. The reference to him is ofcourse no problem as that's the right thing to do. Think it's something to check out.

Sounds good to me as well. But I do find it a pity that he has no time to keep the development going.

At some point we have to realise our development capacity is limited and it's better to leave some stuff to third-party developers. I actually hope that soon after the release of JEM 2.0 we can create a section on the site where third-party plugins and modules are promoted. It only helps when the component has more optional functions.

But I guess this time it will have to be our own development...?
