[SOLVED] select a venue in frontend

JEM 2.2.3
Joomla 3.9.13
both re-installed last week after a providerchange...

Hello,
i have a strange behaviour in my site, in the JEM software.
When i create a new Event in the backend, all is well.
When i create a new Event in the Frontend, I can not select a location.

I see the name: "location", I see the field: "select a location" and i see the link: "select". (so far so good)
But when I click select, a new screen comes up, bus i can't select a location. The only message I get: "No location found".

What can i do to connect the searchfield with the correct database entry?
Can someone help?

TIA

greatings,
Alex

Hi,
first of all: please try to reinstall JEM 2.2.3 over the existing JEM and check the databases and so on (with manage...). Are there really no other changes than providerchange?

Hi jojo12,

thank you for your replay.
No i did not make any changes by hand (or other) to the JEM software (or pages).
I did reinstall like you suggested, bud the outcome is the same.
Also i tryed 2 different templates to role that out (with one i had the issue that in the frontend i could not fil in the forms for a new event and could not change an existing).

Strangely when i click on: select a contact: the list with contacts from joomla appears, so the connection with the database is OK?

what about the htaccess file? Can you try, when this is URL-rewrite is disabled.

the htaccess.txt file is (auto) installed, and is not changed by me.

Just to try :
I copieed the old one, and purged the cache, no change.
So i placed the latest installed back

Al the files (Joomla and JEM) are installed from the back-end, only the database is filled by copiing each different file (only when needed and securely comparing before sending).

As i think of it now:
my site is using a subdomain (joomla and jem in the same subdomain)

The difference between providers:
old provider used:
root
=> www.mydomain.name
==> data
subdomain
=> subdomain1.mydomain.name
==> data
=> subdomain2.mydomain.name
==> data

new provider:
root
=> www.mydomain.name
==> data
=> subdomain1.mydomain.name
==> data
=> subdomain2.mydomain.name
==> data

so by the new provider the subdomain is in the same root as www
